When and how did you get your start in the industry? 

I applied at The Hair Company in 2005 when I was 18, originally to work at the tanning salon. I was called back and offered the receptionist position at salon and have been here ever since
 

Why did you choose the beauty industry?

I was always interested in hair and make up growing up. Not that I was any good at it! But I loved learning on my self and it just kind of grew from there!
 

What do you love about working at The Hair Company?
The atmosphere! I get to work with my best friends everyday!
 

Tell us about you… Spouse/Significant other, Kids, Family, Pets, etc..,

I live with my boyfriend, John, along with his 2 children Camran and Dylan and our little pup Izzy! If we aren’t spending time with our friends/family, you can find us camping with the kids!
 

What do you like to do on your days off? What are you hobbies?

Usually on my days off if I’m not cleaning the house or grocery shopping, I’m usually out with friends having girls days! Poolside, shopping and lunch!
 

What are your favorite services to offer and why?
Color. It allows me to be creative and customize color for each client and their needs!
 

Products (that we carry) you can't live without and why?

I love Pureology Color Fanatic (21 spray) and also the Pureology wind tossed spray! 2 things I use faithfully!

If I weren't so damn good at my job, I'd probably be......... I have no clue!

 

Tell us three things most people don’t know about you…  1. I wanted to be a mortician.   2. I’m in love the weather! Snow & thunderstorms are my fave!   3.I’m named after my great grandfather.

What advice would you give to recent new stylist? 
Don’t give up, and never doubt yourself! Make mistakes and learn from them! This career isn’t an easy one but it’s super rewarding!

When I was 5, I was pretty sure I'd be a  cashier when I grew up.  

 

If you could pick one theme for The Hair Company to turn into a book about the company, what would it be?   Idk! A comedy?!

Where would you like to go on a dream vacation?   Iceland
 

When was the last time you laughed so hard you cried?   All the time!

What tv show/movie are you ashamed to admit you love?   Maury!

What places have you lived in?  I’ve lived in Southern Maryland my whole life

What one food do you wish had zero calories?   Donuts

What music is on your phone?  Everything from county, pop, rap and alternative

What is your hidden talent?   I’m pretty good a handstands

What is your favorite sport or sports team?    I don’t have a favorite but I enjoy watching football

What is the weirdest thing you've ever eaten?   Probably not weird to most people but a raw oyster

What is one thing you can't live without?   My boyfriend

What is the first thing you would buy if you won the lottery?   Vacation home on the beach

What is on your bucket list?  To see the Northern Lights

Tell us something about yourself that would surprise us.   I hate being the center of attention, unless it’s my birthday! I love celebrating it!

  

If you were stuck on an island what three things would you bring?  1. My boyfriend, John!  , 2. A fire starter,   3. A mosquito net.
 

If you were an animal what would you be?     A bird. Definitely so I could fly and go where ever I wanted.

Favorite travel spot?  Anywhere with sun and sand!

Messy or Organized? ORGANIZED

Before working at The Hair Company, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?   I worked at a daycare for a couple of months when I graduated high school. I learned you have to have a special type of patience!
