When and how did you get your start in the industry?
I went to cosmetology school in 2007 at Graham Webb International Academy of Hair. I started working at The Hair Company in 2009 right after I graduated cosmetology school.
Why did you choose the beauty industry? Saying “I’ve always wanted to be a hairstylist” is kind of cliche but it’s the truth! I’ve always been a creative person. Whether it was through art, dance, hair, or make up. I just knew becoming a hair stylist was exactly what I wanted to do from a very young age.
What do you love about working at The Hair Company?
We’re a family! Who else can say they work along side their best friends everyday?! We have such a great team!
Tell us about you… Spouse/Significant other, Kids, Family, Pets, etc..,
I started dating my husband, Corey, in 2007 and we got married in 2014. We had our first son, Maddox, in August 2015 and our second son, Lennox, in April 2018. Our “first baby” (fur baby) is a black lab that we adopted in 2010. She’s the best dog in the world and our boys absolutely adore her.
What do you like to do on your days off?
Is shopping a hobbie? Because I LOVE to shop!
Favorite services to offer.....
Balayage!!!!! I get to be so creative through balayage. There are so many different techniques with hair painting that I never get tired of doing it.
Products you can't live without.....
Pureology color fanatic 21 spray. Everyone needs this product. It’s the best leave-in spray treatment out there. And purple shampoo (since in a blonde). It keep my hair the perfect shade of white blonde!
What's the most inspiring part of your job?
How a simple haircut or hair color can completely change someone’s life. I love making women feel so confident and beautiful after I do their hair. It’s so rewarding.

If I weren't so damn good at my job, I'd probably be......... If I weren’t so damn good at my job, I’d probably be a personal shopper.
Tell us three things most people don’t know about you… 1. I’ve never been on a roller coaster. . 2. I was in a bad bike accident as a kid and had to be flown to Children’s Hospital in DC. 3. I’ve never been to the West Coast.
How do you want people to remember you? As a great friend.
Who is someone you admire, and why? My mom. She is hands down the happiest, kindest human on this planet. She has a heart of gold. I’m so lucky to have her as my mom.

What advice would you give to recent new stylist? Don’t give up. It’s hard in the beginning but so worth it in the end.
When I was 5, I was pretty sure I'd be a astronaut when I grew up.
