When and how did you get your start in the industry? (year, where, etc..,)
I started working at The Hair Company in 2010 as a receptionist. It wasn't very long until I fell in love with the industry and soon after became an apprentice under the owner of The Hair Company, Jackie.
Why did you choose the beauty industry?
I love to make people look and feel their best. To me, there is nothing more satisfying than giving a client a "self confidence boost" just by coming to see me.

Tell us about you… Spouse/Significant other, Kids, Family, Pets, etc..,
I am 27. I was born and raised in a small (very country) town in 7th District (you might hear it in my accent every once in awhile). I have an amazing boyfriend named Matt, he's a Ship Captain contracted by the Navy. I'm lucky enough to have his sweet 12 year old daughter/my "little bestie", Alaina, in my life as well. I also have an unbelievably spoiled Olde English Bulldog named Lola Faith.
What do you like to do on your days off?
On my days off I'm usually on the water. Whether it's kayaking, fishing/crabbing, or just joy riding on the boat. I grew up a waterman's daughter and lived on the water my whole life, you just can't keep me away from it! When I'm not doing that I love to cook. A huge stress reliever of mine is to pour myself a glass of wine and make a new dish I've never made before.
Favorite services to offer.....
I would say my favorite service to offer is coloring hair, especially blondes! I'm super particular when it comes to the tone of my blondies. Most of my clientele are blondes and in my opinion it takes a blonde (like myself) to know a blonde.
Products you can't live without.....
I can't live without my Redken Color Extend Blondage Shampoo! I have well water at my house (well water tends to make hair turn brassy) and that purple shampoo is a MUST HAVE to keep my blonde nice and icy.
What's the most inspiring part of your job?
As a stylist, I get to have that special connection between a person's inner and outer self. I make a person feel amazing on the outside which reflects their self esteem and happiness on the inside. There is nothing more inspiring and rewarding to me.
